The role

  • Manage the on-site project works, meeting project schedule, troubleshooting issues, ensuring contractors meet contractual commitments and ensuring the client is kept informed of project status.
  • Interface with PM, client, and contractors to ensure smooth communications and address and resolves issues and concerns.
  • Manage ongoing Authority Approvals
  • Undertake regular site inspections to ensure the quality of construction and the works are to the specifications
  • Work across multiple projects
  • Managing the delivery of all design aspects of the project on time and to standards
  • Design and Project management of Urban Development projects including responsibility for civil works specifications, engineering reports and tenders
  • Undertaking regular interface and liaison with key clients and stakeholders
  • Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes

About you

  • A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
  • At least 10+ years experience in relevant roles including 5+ years within the Sydney region
  • Experience in managing $50M+ civil infrastructure projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to manage client expectations and coordinate multiple contractors
  • Knowledge of progress claims and contract management
  • Experience in design engineering is preferable but not essential.
  • Capability of solving problems and managing contractor’s expectation
  • A working knowledge of local government and service authority construction standards, specifications & delivery processes including Sydney Water and Endeavour Energy.
