Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Associate Director to lead our Parramatta office in Sydney. As a member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Parramatta office, managing a growing team of 19 staff, and driving the continued success and growth of our business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Parramatta office, including design and project management of significant Urban Development projects including responsibility for civil works specifications, engineering reports and tenders.
  • Manage staff workflows, resource allocation, and project assignments to ensure optimal productivity and performance,
  • Manage the delivery of all design aspects of a project on time and to standards,
  • Oversee and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to their professional development,
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting a positive work environment where staff feel valued and motivated,
  • Undertake regular interface and liaisons with key clients and stakeholders,
  • Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes and
  • Maintain client relationships to develop long-term, sustainable working relationships which deliver repeat business.

About you:

  • A minimum of 15 years of civil design experience with at least 5 years of local experience,
  • Strong people management and leadership skills,
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and achieve results in a competitive market,
  • Degree in Civil Engineering,
  • CPEng / NER accredited,
  • Proficient in in 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC and AutoCad,
  • Experience working on urban development projects,
  • Proven ability to prioritse and manage multiple projects and deadlines at once,
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially report writing,
  • Excellent knowledge of Australian Standards & Council design standards and
  • A positive attitude.
